About the Opportunity
Our client is a Private Equity Fund set up in GIFT City, managing sophisticated investment strategies across multiple asset classes. As part of their leadership team, they are looking to hire a Principal Officer with deep expertise in investment management, financial analysis, and portfolio oversight.
This is a senior, high-impact role offering direct involvement in fund strategy, portfolio monitoring, and transaction execution within India’s fastest-growing international financial services hub.
Role Overview
The Principal Officer will play a critical role in investment evaluation, portfolio management support, and performance monitoring, working closely with senior stakeholders and regulatory frameworks applicable to GIFT City funds.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct in-depth financial analysis and valuation, including financial modelling, comparable company analysis, and precedent transaction analysis
Support transaction execution and work on complex deal structures
Perform industry and market research to identify trends, opportunities, and investment risks
Provide portfolio management support across fund investments
Monitor portfolio performance and prepare quarterly performance and regulatory reports
Work closely with internal teams and external advisors on due diligence and transaction advisory
Professional Experience Requirements
Candidates should have minimum 15 years of overall experience, with at least 5 years in relevant financial activities such as:
Portfolio Manager / Fund Manager / Investment Advisor
Investment Banker / Broker-Dealer / Wealth Manager
Research Analyst / Credit Rating Agency Professional
Market Infrastructure Institution or Financial Sector Regulator
Consultancy roles in deal due diligence, transaction advisory, or fund management-related areas
📌 Note: Consultancy experience in fund management-related areas will be considered for a maximum of 2 years. Remaining experience must be from core financial roles as listed above for at least 3 years.
